About the Artist

I have enjoyed art ever since I was a kid. It was my chosen elective throughout middle and high school. When it came time to choose my major in college, I knew I needed to keep exploring my desire to create and work with my hands. I received my BFA from The University of Georgia with an emphasis in photography. While my focus was in the darkroom, I was able to take courses in drawing, letterpress, art history, painting, and sculpture. I feel that all of these techniques I studied have helped me to create a cross disciplinary approach to art making.

About the Work

My work is inspired by nature and small moments from my daily life. Painting has helped me train my eyes to be open and constantly collecting inspiration and information from the world around me. These observations help me to see small moments of joy in the mundane. Painting these moments helps me process my thoughts and emotions about the world around me.
